Recently, the Weihuan Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project, an internally-funded initiative independently invested and constructed by Zhejiang Weihuan Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a member enterprise of our association, is under smooth construction, with its construction schedule three months ahead of the original plan.
At the construction site, reporters saw that Building 1, the office building and one dormitory building included in the Weihuan Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project have been successfully topped out, while the other four single buildings are being constructed in an orderly manner. The project started construction last October, and over 50% of the work has been completed so far, three months ahead of the original schedule.
It is reported that the Weihuan Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project has been listed in Zhejiang’s "Thousand Projects, Trillion Yuan" Initiative and the Provincial Major Industrial Projects. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project focuses on elevating the automation and intelligence of computerized hosiery knitting machine production. It consists of four intelligent production workshops, two dormitory buildings and one office building, covering a total construction area of 140,000 square meters.
We plan to introduce intelligent AGV warehousing systems, intelligent robotic arms, robots and supporting digital intelligent platforms to raise our company's digital maturity, which is expected to boost production efficiency by 10%. The project is scheduled for delivery and commissioning in June next year. Upon operation, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 10,000 integrated hosiery machines and 3,000 integrated flat knitting machines.
Reporters learned that Zhejiang Weihuan Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a national key high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales and services, specializing in various hosiery machines and flat knitting machines. Its flagship product is the computerized hosiery knitting machine, which has repeatedly been included in the list of China's Top 10 Hosiery Machine Brands.
In recent years, the company has taken technological R&D as its core competitiveness and kept increasing investment in research and development to make in-depth breakthroughs in core technological innovation of intelligent hosiery machines. Over the past two years, it has obtained 17 new invention patents and 20 utility model patents, bringing the total number of various patents to 88. Thanks to continuous technological upgrades, the stability of its hosiery machines has reached internationally advanced and domestically leading standards, with some performance indicators even surpassing global counterparts.
"Currently, Weihuan hosiery machines hold approximately 30% market share worldwide. Upon completion of this project, the figure will rise to nearly 35%, further consolidating and elevating Weihuan’s market standing," said Fu Jinjin.
